5am, a garage gym, winter. The hoodie was some mall brand that pilled in a month and went baggy at the cuffs by spring. Every replacement did the same thing, whatever the price tag said.
So we sourced heavyweight fleece and made one that held up. People at the gym kept asking where it came from. That was the whole business plan.
Most gym fleece feels thin because it is. Ours starts at 10oz dense-loop cotton with double-needle seams and ribbing that snaps back after the thousandth wear. As we grow, the fabric gets heavier.
Heavy fabric costs more and takes longer to make. It also lasts years instead of seasons. Easy call.
Black doesn't date. It doesn't show chalk, sweat, or the coffee you spilled on the drive over. It doesn't shout across the gym floor either.
You're there to work. The gear should act like it.
No warehouses. No clearance racks. No fake “only 3 left” counter ticking down in the corner of your screen.
Your piece goes into production when you order it and ships in a few days. Nothing gets overproduced, marked down, or landfilled because we guessed wrong at scale.
No manifesto. No membership.
If you're up before the sun anyway, you're one of us. Wear the dark.
